Dr. Trompoukis Sotiris is a Gynecologist and Obstetrician, endoscopic surgeon, with subspecialty in Assisted Reproduction.
He was born in Athens and received his MD from Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1997. He has been trained in Greece and Great Britain at the Assisted Conception Unit, Birmingham Women’s University Hospital. His specific area of expertise includes Reproductive Endocrinology, male and female infertility, ovulation induction, recurrent miscarriage, assisted reproduction (IVF/ICSI) and advanced gynecological and reproductive endoscopy.
He served at the Fertility Center Clinic with a team of experts which announced the conception and birth of the first Greek IVF baby. Dr. Trompoukis along with his expert team has been providing established IVF services all over Greece and abroad with consistent successful pregnancy rates over 46%.
Today, Dr. Trompoukis is the Chief Scientific Officer of the Gynecological Department at the Central Clinic of Athens and member of the scientific team at Infertility Unit of 2 renowned private hospitals, MITERA and LITO (HYGEIA Group). He has also a private practice, offering services throughout the range of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In order to keep abreast of the rapidly evolving technology in the field of IVF, Dr. Trompoukis regularly attends many training programs and workshops worldwide. His bibliography comprises over 100 articles in professional journals, monographies, text books and journals.
As a member of the International Society of Fertility Preservation (ISFP), his special interest is to provide information and counseling on fertility conservation issues in oncology patients. He is also a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).
