Dr. Georgios Kollias is a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and Sports Physician. He is specialised in sports medicine, sports injuries (arthroscopy), reconstruction surgery (arthroplasty) and orthobiologics (platelet rich plasma, stem cell therapy).
Dr. Kollias was born in Athens, Greece in 1981 and he graduated from Medical School in 2005. His professional career started in 2008 as a trainee in orthopedics within the University clinic in Athens hospital “KAT”, developing his specialty on sports injuries and osteoarthritis of large joints. In 2013 he enhanced his academic career on shoulder and elbow surgery in Schulthess Klinik, Swiss Olympic Medical Center – FIFA Medical Center of Excellence and in 2014 he obtained scholarship from European Orthopedic Society and further continued his professional development on Shoulder and Elbow surgery in St.John Hospital in Budapest. In 2014 he got the title ““Fellow of the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology” in Vienna and since 2018 Dr Kollias is a certified Orthopedic Sports Physician in International Olympic Committee and International Federation of Association Football (FIFA)
His professional career has started in 2015 as a consultant in Hellenic Police Medical center as well as in Affidea clinic in Athens. Since 2015, Dr Kollias is an Orthopedic Surgeon in Mediterraneo Hospital In Athens Medical center, Central clinic of Athens. Since 2014 Dr.Kollias operates a modern orthopedic clinic in Glifada, Greece based on international medical protocols.
Since 2014 Dr Kollias has been a member in Helllenic College of Orthopaedic Surgeoνs and Traumatologists as well as a Fellow of European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology. Since 2018 has been an International Olympic Committee Sports Physician.
